Good Tax Accountants are Worth Their Weight in Gold

I have been using the services of a local accounting firm for many years.  I have several businesses and will be the first to admit that I don’t keep very good records.  Tax time is always a bit of a challenge.  I have always felt that my accountants were doing a good job.  I was forced to look for new tax accountants when the firm I was using closed up shop.  I guess the economy is affecting many areas.  The accountant that I found is fresh out of school and doesn’t have much experience but I felt compelled to give him a chance.  I am so glad I did.  He discovered several deductions that we had never claimed previously.  I was able to save over $5000 this year alone.   He plans on looking over past years returns and filing amended returns if needed.
