When my husband graduated from college with his MBA, he began a career as an executive immediately.
In order to keep a competitive edge, he would spend hours a week pouring over every new business book, journal, and newspaper he could get.
Times have changed and, when our son got his MBA and a new executive position, he subscribed to business book summaries. He has summaries of leading business books sent to him as reports which he can absorb in minutes.
When he is really pressed for time he listens to the information on audio, while driving to work.
Information is still key to success and current information is still critical. But the delivery has improved immensely.
