Bunions

Bunions are enlarged joints that are more common in females and more common in those who wear shoes. They do occur in people in Africa who do not wear shoes, but they are nowhere near a bad as in those who do wear shoes and almost never gets painful. The pain that occurs in those with bunions occur for two reasons. One reason is simply pressure from the shoes on the enlarged joints. This is easy to treat by the use of padding or changing the footwear. The other reason for the pain is from arthritis that occurs due to the enlarged joint. Surgery is the best option for treating this.
