Tweaking air horns

Here are some tricks for your air horns to sound as loud as possible. Take your air horns to a local mechanic shop or repair shop that understand horn details. Tell them you want the largest valve possible to be put in the top of the horn. Having a larger air valve nets you about 2 dBa’s, and if you know anything about how to rate sound, 2 dBa’s is massive. Also tell the mechanic you want an upgraded diaphragm to be placed in each of the slots. These allow more air to be blown out just like the valve.
