The foreign exchange market (Forex, for short) determines the value of one countries currency as it relates to the value of another countries currency. This is especially important when doing business across the globe. As there is no centralized location for this market, there are many cities where trading takes place. London is home to the highest volume of foreign exchange trading with over 1/3 of all trading occurring there. This makes in an important financial center for not only the United Kingdom but for the entire world.
