I Found a Dad in the California Public Records

I had a somewhat strange upbringing, since my parents divorced when I was a baby, and my mother, who remarried, never wanted to talk about my Dad.  But, when I became a parent myself, I decided I wanted to know who my father was.  An online search of the California Public Records turned up an old address for my parent, and I eventually followed it, to learn that he had been searching for me all those years.  My mother had changed my name and hers, and moved away.  When I found my Dad, we got to know each other pretty well, and, most importantly, he got to know the little grandson he never knew existed.
