San Francisco Dog Training For My New Adopted Shelter Dog

I just adopted a dog from a shelter and a friend of mine just told me about a local San Francisco Dog Training service. The dog is very nervous and fearful. I assume that she has been abused in some way and I am worried that she may bite out of fear. I have small children and I would feel better if she were trained. I know that it will take time for us to build trust with her, but she has to know that biting is absolutely not acceptable from the start. The safety of my children has to be first priority so we will be having her trained very soon.
